septembre 2016, Galerie Escougnou-Cetraro, Paris.

Laura Porter (1979, New Orleans, Louisiana, USA) studied at the École Nationale Supérieure d’Arts Paris-Cergy and lives and works in Paris. Using a vocabulary of recurring elements, her installations exercise different types of materials, from plastics to sugar glass and seedlings. Laura Porter’s work focuses on industrial products that are made to adapt or stand in for the body.

Laura was a resident at Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris in 2013. Her installations have been exposed the Ygrec gallery, the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, the Maubuisson Abbey, and recently at the Totatoga Gallery in South Korea and the Centre Régional d’Art Contemporain Languedoc-Roussillon in Sète.
