That same year, he took part in an exhibition at London’s Royal College of Arts. In 2010, he graduated with honours from Les Arts Décoratifs de Paris. In November 2014 and 2015, his work appeared in the first and second part of the group exhibition “Au-delà de l’image” at Galerie Escougnou-Cetraro as well as in the exhibition “Honoré” at Galerie Visconti. In October 2015, he started to work as a duo for the first time with artist Gabrielle G. Bianco, as part of the exhibition “La Peur d’un Monde Entier” in Ghent, Belgium. He present his first solo show at Galerie Escougnou-Cetraro in February 2017.

Emmanuel Le Cerf’s work is centered on the research and discovery of new visual materials. Exploring technical knowledge and diverting the hidden processes at the starting point of the images, the artist, as an alchemist, questions the materials used in photography. Through a subtle balance between chemical substances and the sensitive material of his imagination, the artist reinvents our relation to the image, its materiality, its temporality, as well as its connection to space. When he conceive his installations, he works with the spaciality of the spectactor’s presence because without witness there is no image, no memories and no questions.
